Stardust
In this series, I explore the inherent connections between the human body and the cosmos, by reflecting on the idea that we are all composed of the same primordial elements. By using large format photography, I capture the back of an individual and present it as a celestial canvas. Freckles, beauty marks, and birthmarks become stars, galaxies, and supernovas in a personal universe. This work encourages the viewer to contemplate their place in the cosmos. At a fundamental level, we are all made from the same swirling atoms birthed in the Big Bang. The series reflects the notion that “we are all the center of our universe,” inviting introspection on our existence within the vastness of space and the interconnectedness of all life.
