There Is Hope Yet
There is Hope Yet” is an intimate and deeply personal exploration of growth, resilience, and the cyclical nature of learning and teaching. As someone who once hesitated to bring children into a world teetering on the edge of environmental, societal, and moral collapse, I wrestled with the weight of that decision. This project stems from that fear but blossoms into a narrative of renewal and optimism.
Through the lens of this work, I document the lives of my children as they navigate and make sense of the world. It is more than just a chronicle of their growth—it is a testament to how they have become my greatest teachers. Their curiosity, unfiltered love, and innate sense of wonder challenge my cynicism and reignite my hope. They teach me to see the world with fresh eyes, to believe in the possibility of change, and to trust that the next generation carries the potential to undo the harm caused by our generation and the ones before us.
This has been the most important work of my life: being a present parent. But in kind, it has reignited my artistic endeavors, showing me the way back to my path of personal development and happiness through creative expression. My children have not only brought me hope for the world but have also helped me rediscover myself, my passions, and the profound joy of creating.
